Diva Demands

A BUSINESS owner from Preston is on a list of hundreds who make outrageous demands when moving into new offices.

The anonymous entrepreneur asked for a personal spray tan booth to be fitted into her new premises in the city before she was willing to move in.

Online commercial property provider officebroker.com made the revelation as one of the most bizarre requests it has received from people looking for office space.

Founder Jim Venables said: "Every business has its own specific needs and we are obviously used to matching office accommodation with our clients' needs, but even we sometimes wonder whether we are going to be able to meet some requests.

"As far as the request for attractive

receptionists was concerned we did have to point out to our client that 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder' and it was not really for us to judge whether personnel were deemed attractive or not."

Other bizarre requests included a Manchester-based recruitment company owner who asked for a secret room next to his company's interview room so he could spy on candidates, a music mogul who requested diamond encrusted toilet seats for his more demanding clients and a businessman in London who requested a bomb shelter capable of withstanding a chemical or nuclear attack.
